All about Thailand
My Name is Desi silvia zahara. I come from University of Muhammadiyah North Sumatera, Indonesia. My University asked me to go to Thailand, to followed student exchange as Southeast-Asia during one month. Start from January 22, 2018- February 18, 2018.
On Tuesday January 23, 2018. I arrived in Don Mueng International Airport, Bangkok Thailand. I am so excited to be here, an experience i will never forget. Should all of students have to leave on Sunday because on Monday the activity has started. But, because my passport was problematic so I have to delayed my departure and finally have to leave alone, but it does not matter to me.

When arrived at Airport, Tan pick me up to go to Phranakhon Rajabat University.. She was a student from Phranakhon Rajabat University. Arrived at PNRU. We are going to Lunch at Phranakhon Grand View.

After lunch, we are going to the Dorm behind university for rest. The dorm was far from university. We are walked to go there. I should paid 100 baht for my room. My room on the fifth floor. She helped carried my suitcase to my room. On that day, I lived alone there, because the others friends still has many activities at University.

On the
evening, they are returned to the Dorm. After that, they are come to my room
and we got to know each other. She was Nurhasanah, Nina, Nanik, Istiqomah, Arma, and Afifah. I lived one room with Nurhasanah, Afifah with
Istiqomah, Arma with Nanik and Nina lived alone in her room. Nurhasanah come from the same university with me, Nina come from UMP (University Muhammadiyah Purwokerto), Nanik come from UNRAM (University Mataram), Istiqomah come from UHAMKA (University Muhammadiyah Prof Dr.Hamka), Arma come from UNPAT (University Pattimura), and Afifah come from UNY (University Yogyakarta). They are so kindly and so friendly. Every weekend, we should move to another Dorm at our College later, they are said.

On Wednesday - January 24, 2018. On the morning, this is the first day I started an activity here. We are
went to Pickanasuan Hall, Phranakhon Rajabat University Bangkok, to attended
opening remark by PNRU President. After that, Dr.wilaichitra presented a
picture of project implementation, and she also talked a little bit about
seameo cooperation with Asian countries doing this program.
In addition, there was a
student-teacher batch 4 who was invited to share his experiences of what he had
been through after becoming a student teacher for a one month in Indonesia.
His name is Mr. Ahlo Yersor or we
usually call him James. James also the winner of a journal writing competition
held in Lampung, Indonesia one year ago. After I watched his presentation, I
was really amazed because from his experiences it could motivate me to be
better for the next. Hopefully someday I can also be a motivator for others.
After that, we have to lunch together at Phrankhon Grand View. After lunch, we returned to our
dorm for prayer and take a rest for a moment. At 14.00 o’clock, we were went to University for observation in the classroom of Dr.Wilaichitra until evening. For the first, we are introduced ourself in front of class. They are second
year students of English majors. Thus, it is easy for me to interacted and
communicated with them. All of students they are so friendly and easy going. When I
came to the class, the group was divided by lectures, I was placed in group 5
with one my friend, his name Dirk. Every group asked to discuss about the
History of America. After that, every group asked for present the results of
discussion in front of class, but because the time is very short, so only one
group is asked to present the results of the discussion.

After discussion, we were asked to sing a popular songs in Indonesia and tell a bit about
the Cultures of Indonesia in front of class and then they also sang popular songs that
are in Thailand for us. On the evening, we returned to our dorm for rest. We had
6 buddies in the dorm of university. They are Tan, Nampueng, Lookpard, Zeen,
James, and Paul. They are always helped us in any case. They are very kindly and friendly.

On Thursday - 25 January,2018.
I went to school for observation at CTE Building, Class of Ajarn Suwan. Nana,
Dirk, Yeri they are my team at the same school. Arrived in the school we are entered
the classroom and then we are introduced ourself in front of classroom. After that,
we are asked to teaching training in the classroom one by one. We are asked to teaching spelling in the class used flash cards. Basically, not all students can speak English. So, we should teach from the beginning. After that, we are
comeback to our dorm for take a rest and there is no more activities for us.
On Friday, today is free time for us. We are stay at our dorm. On that day, I make daily journal about daily activities during here while prepared my self for Monday. Because, on Monday we should to go School to started teach there. On the night, I go to dinner with
the others friend. As usual, go to market beside our university to bought some
foods, and then have dinner together under the dorm.
On sunday, Mr.Suwan and Miss Phuenghoney they are pick up us at the dorm to move another dorm at Kanchanapisek Technical College Mahanakorn, where is the place we will teach for tomorrow. Before go there, we have lunched together around the school.

The dorm at the school better than the dorm at
university. All facilities completed here. Cooking rice, Iron, Fan, Dining table, hot water place, cooking utensils are also
completed, so we can cooked everyday. Here can be more efficient than
there. I lived with Nurhasanah, and Yeri lived with Dirk. They are at the second floor.

It was my activities for the second week in Bangkok in the school. The name of school is Kanchanapisek Technical College Mahanakorn or KTCM. It was founded in 1991-24th December 1993. This school make standard labor demands in workplaces and in the Southeast Asian Region. KTCM is a renowned institute that provides qualified artisans and technicians in order to respond to the need of labor market and enterprises as well as ASEAN community.
There are 9 department, they are :
1. Accounting Department
2. Automotive Department
3. Business Computer Department
4. Electrical Power Department
5. Electronics Department
6. Machine Tool Department
7. Mechanical Drawing Department
8. Business Retail Department
9. Welding Department
On Monday morning January 29, 2018 at 07.30 a.m, we have to followed the flag ceremony at the schoolyard. Start from 08.00-08.15 every morning. The lesson will begin at 08.30am. After the ceremony was over, we were asked to introduce ourselves in front of all the students in attendance. In first day, we just observed about the school such as facilities, classroom, all the activities in the school.

After that, we did observation in the class of Ajarn Nutjakorn, her subject about Reading Authentic Materials. They are Bussiness Reail department only fifteen students. She used real media (Clock). It's one of best way to delivered the materials to the students.

Next day, we did observation in the class of Ajarn Ning, her subject about Technical english on Job. She taught about all the objects that are on their job. We did observation during three days. Started from Monday until Wednesday.

Next day, observed class of Ajarn Khanitta, She had teaching Listening and Speaking. She gave worksheet for students and then played video about conversation between shopkeeper and customer. The topic about "Shopping List". She asked her students to listened conversation from video then answer the questions on worksheet it given.

After observed, we have lunched in Canteen.
After Lunch, we are comeback to the Office to
discussed about our schedule for next week with our mentor's. There are
four mentor's for english subject, they are Ajarn Nutjakorn teach Reading subject , Ajarn Kiew teach Listening and Speaking, Ajarn Ning
teach Technical english on Job, and Ajarn Khanitta also teach Listening and
Speaking. They asked us to choosed the subject which we want. I
choosed Reading subject for my teaching materials. Nurhasanah choosed
Technical english on Job, Yeri and Dirk choosed Listening and Speaking.

On
Wednesday, after attended the flag ceremony. My mentor's asked me to
teaching in her classroom tomorrow, because she was sick and need time
for rest. She also asked the others friends to joined, we are asked to
make team teaching tomorrow. Before teach, I asked to prepared the
lesson plan for teaching tomorrow. She was prepared topic for my
materials tomorrow. I asked to teaching about "Shopping List". So,
immediately i was prepared my lesson plan and gave to her.

On Thursday Februari 01, 2018. I have three classes today, Electronics, Automotive, and Drafting. Started from morning at 08.30 after the flag ceremony until afternoon at 15.00 p.m. The number of students is not much. Most widely only twenty students. The average student is mostly boys. Because there is vocational schools.
First time entered the classroom, I introduced myself in front of class and then asked them to introduced themselves also alternately. After that, i started the lesson with linking my lesson to real world learning, it will make the material easy to understand and easy to learn. Basically, all of students not understand about english. So i should slowly to communicated with them. Sometime i also used handgestures to make it easier for them to understand what i said.
I was read conversation first and then asked them to repeating the reading. After that, I gave them assignment to filled the puzzle and asked them to found some words about shopping list, and then asked them to make a sentence from the words which them found in the puzzle. I divided them into groups. One group contains four peoples. Every groups must be able guess the contents of the empty puzzle quickly. Which group answers the most, they are the winner.
On Friday, i have one class, but there is no students come. So, i comeback to the Office and said to Ajarn Kiew that there is no students. On the afternoon, we are allowed to go home first, because every weekend, we have another activities at the University, so we should move there on friday until sunday. On Sunday, we have to comeback here again.
On Sunday, Ajarn Suwan asked us to sharing our experiences during at the school. We are gathered under the dorm and then go to CTE Building for meet up with him. After that, he held a cooking event to introduced typical food in Thailand. Som tam with sticky rice, Mango sticky rice, and Khanom Khrok like sweetmeat.

On Monday, I started comeback my activities at the school. I have two classes for today. Started from 08.30 after the flag ceremony until 10.00, and next at 11.00-13.00p.m. For today, I still used lesson plan last week, because it's from the different class. They are Business Retail only nine students and Accounting only three students.

On Thursday, Ajarn Suwan and Miss Phuenghoney want to evaluate us in the school. On thursday I had teaching Automotive Class. They are twenty five students. Ajarn Suwan will evaluate Nurhasanah, and Dirk. Miss Phuenghoney will evaluate Me and Yeri. My mentor's Ajarn Nutjakorn also follow evaluated. Before it, my mentor's asked me to make a new lesson plan for tomorrow. I had teaching about Label of Products. At 10.30am evaluate started. First entered the clasroom i greets my students. Introduced myself. Give explanation about Label, Give some examples about Label, for example : Label of Foods, Beverage, Label of Fashions, Cosmetics, Electronics, Label of Medical and show some examples of label. After that, I asked them to gave another about Label did they know.After they are understand about that, I divides them into 5 groups, every groups will discuss about the different topic.
Group 1 will discuss about Foods and Drinks. Group 2 will discuss about Cosmetics, Group 3 will discuss about Fashions, Group 4 will discuss about Electronics, and the last group will discuss about Medicals. After discussion they should presentation the results of their discussion in front of class.

On Friday, I still have class for the last teaching in the school. I
teach about Label of Products such as last day. The same material when
evaluated yesterday. They are Machine Tool students, only twenty
students there.

| It was last week, before comeback to Indonesia we should finished the self report, daily journal, and prepared all needed for farewell party. Farewell party be held on February 15, 2018 at 08.00am in Building 20. There are some activities such as giving the certificate, presentation of activities in the school started from first day until last day, performing dances of Thailand, and Indonesia. For prepared farewell party we will performing dances of each region in Indonesia. There are dances of Java by Nina, Ambon by Arma, and Tor Tor dances of North Sumatera by Desi, and Nurhasanah, and Aman singing a song of Sulawesi. At the end, all of us singing a farewell song "Kemesraan", Indonesia's Song.

Miko and Afifah comeback first on February 16, 2018. They were comeback to Yogyakarta. On February 17, 2018 We are comeback to Medan. Yeri, Dirk, and Arma, Nanik, Nina, Aman, and Istiqomah comeback on February 18, February 19, 2018. Paul, Nina, and Istiqomah who drove us go to Airport. Arrived at Kualanamu Airport we are joined with our friends at the same university (UMSU).
